Main  Purpose
To  optimize  and  balance  the  internal  material  flows,  repacking,  kitting  activities,  warehouse  planning  and  logistic  layout  ,  from  a  total  cost  and  quality  point  of  view.
  
Main  Tasks
Make  capacity,  rationalisation  and  profitability  analyses  and  calculations  on  in-  and  outbound  logistic  flow  solutions  
Design,  improve  and  balance  repack  and  storage  areas  
Continuously  improve  the  overall  material  handling  efficiency  ,  from  the  unloading,  storing,  repacking,  kitting  and  replenishment  process  
Define  and  maintain  standard  times  of  operational  activities  
Guide  and  support  Packing  Engineering  in  continuous  packing  process  improvements  
Develop  and  implement  logistic  equipment  in  accordance  to  the  VCMS  Lean  Materials  directives,  including  industrial  vehicles  
·                  Participate  in  car  and  non-car  projects  with  regards  to  Material  Handling  Engineering  deliverables
·                  Report  and  present  process  optimisation  projects  towards  the  management  team  of  MP&L  
·                  Handle  internal  suggestions  regarding  replenishment  process.
  
Responsibility
The  Material  Handling  Engineer  has  the  overall  responsibility  of  implementing  and  continuous  improving  material  handling  related  processes  at  MP&L  Overseas  incl  hubs.  
The  Material  Handling  Engineer  reports  to  the  manager  Quality,  Projects  &  Product  Creation.
  
Competence  Requirements
·                  Higher  Vocational  Education
·                  Minimum  10  years  relevant  and  broad  work  experience  within  MP&L  related  processes
·                  Fluent  in  English,  spoken  and  written
·                  Able  to  drive  teamwork  &  partnership
·                  Experienced  in  working  with  MS-Office  applications:  MS-Project,  Excel  and  Access
·                  Strong  project  planning,  coordination  and  follow  up  skills
·                  Good  communication  and  negotiation  skills
·                  Broad  knowledge  of  the  production  and  logistics  systems
