Job  Title:    Crisis  Management  Manager
Report  to:  GA  VP

General  description:  
Responsibilities  mainly  focus  on  government  engagement/events/business  crises  monitoring  and  management.  Support  GA  VP  in  implementing  Volvo  GA  strategy  and  help  realize  the  goal  to  drive  business  growth  in  China

Major  responsibilities:
Develop  the  proactive  and  result-oriented  business  crisis  management  system  and  early  warning  system  to  monitor,  analyze  and  manage  the  potential  business  crises  and  emergencies.  

Build  up  government  engagement  network  to  proactively  handle  the  business  crisis  and  provide  the  added  values  to  Volvo  operations  in  China.

Set  up  and  maintain  a  healthy  and  stable  communication  mechanism  with  central    and  local  government  agencies  to  mainly  support  Volvo  China    businesses.

Help  various  business  groups  handle  crises  emerged  during  the  business  operation  and  find  solutions  for  the  Company’s  best  interest  by  working  with  related  government  agencies,  by  leveraging  the  business  crises  management  system.

Provide  briefing  on  the  policy  changes,  market  trend  and  the  impact  caused  by  the  change

Work  out  GA  related  crisis  handbook  for  internal  groups  on  business  crisis  guidance

Work  closely  with  external  agencies  and  Volvo  China    top  management  as  well  as  diversified  business  groups  to  ensure  the  system  run  smoothly

Provide  professional  consultancy  to  the  top  management  regarding  the  crisis  management

Assist  in  communication  and  preparation  in  VIP/Trade  Delegation  visits  making  sure  that  Volvo    plays  an  increasingly  important  role  in  Sweden-China  bilateral  trade  

Support  Volvo  Executive’s  meetings  with  top  Chinese  leaders  both  in  China  and  in  Sweden

Coordinate  with  Sweden  Embassy  and  Chamber  in  China  and  represent  Volvo  in  the  events  organized  by  these  organizations

Develop  and  manage  Volvo  China's  membership  at  associations  to  expand  Volvo  government  engagement  network  

Communicate  with  various  Volvo  China  business  teams,  provide  GA  advice  as  well  as  timely    solutions  to  their  critical  issues

Other  assignment  as  needed

Educational  background:
College  graduate  with  a  degree  in  English,  Marketing,  Communications,  or  a  related  field,  with  a  Master's  degree  preferred.

Working  experience  and  capabilities:
Minimum  3-5  years  experience  in  a  vehicle  legislative  function  involving  interpretation  working  experiences  in  GA  related  area  with  multinational  company  

Strong  crisis  handling  skills,  background  in  a  manufacturing  environment  preferred

Excellent  interpersonal  skills  and  the  ability  to  present  complex  business  crises  information  to  all  levels  within  the  business

Knowledgeable  of  Chinese  government’s  working  mechanism  and  familiar  with  automotive  industry  related  key  governmental  stakeholders

Strong  capability  in  leading  cooperative  projects  with  agencies

Communication  skill

Excellent  English,  in  both  oral  &  written
Strong  computer  skills
Ability  to  integrate  communications  programs  within  all  areas  of  the  business  and  knowledge  of  present  techniques  for  employee  communications.
