Summary  of  the  Role  

Cost  Estimator  is  mainly  responsible  for  part  price  and  tooling  cost  estimate,  and  to  support  Buyer  with  expertise  on  cost  drivers  during  negotiation  with  suppliers.

Main  responsibilities

1.  Conduct  cost  analysis  of  piece  price/Vendor  tools  and  establish  a  "Should  Price".
2.  When  requested,  support  R&D  with  cost  specialist  competencies  when  evaluating  and  selecting  technical  concepts.
3.  To  continuously  be  updated  and  continuously  possess  competence  in  state  of  the  art  production  processes,  machines  and  materials.
4.  Support  and  coach  Buyer  in  supplier  negotiation.

Qualifications  

1.  Engineering  background.
2.  With  capability  of  working  independently,  and  good  English  skills.
3.  With  good  commercial  negotiation  skills.
4.  With  good  communication  skills  and  teamwork  spirit.

Experience  Required  

  5-10  years  working  experience  in  production  industry,  preferably  in  automotive  industry.  Experience  from  active  work  such  as  production  engineer,  process  engineer,  tooling  engineer,  design  engineer,  preferably  with  cost  estimating  experience.

Competencies

1.  Good  understanding  on  manufacturing  process  such  as  injection,  stamping,  casting  and  so  on.
2.  Good  understanding  on  raw  material  (price,  property)  such  as  plastic,  metal,  rubber  and  so  on.
3.  With  knowledge  on  overall  cost  structure.
