1.  Business  structure  linkage  (Part  of  process  or  organisation)

Risk  Manager  is  a  role  within  SEL  Security.  Facilitates  and  coordinates  all  risk  areas  within  Volvo  China  Operation  (VCO).

2.  Purpose

Managing  and  give  feed  back  of  RM  (Risk  Management)  issues.
Manage  and  develop  Risk  Management  function  within  VCO  towards  a  proactive  approach.

3.  Main  Tasks

Develop,  maintain  and  communicate  directives,  corporate  instructions  and  guidelines  within  RM.  
Is  part  of  the    internal  RM  work.  
Identify  risk  level  within  VCO.  
Establish  risk  appetite  with  concerned  stakeholders.  
Counseling  and  advice  risk  reducing  efforts  in  a  cost  efficient  way  within  VCO.  
Ensure  loss  prevention  in  VCO  critical  projects.  
Contactperson  for  insurance  broker  and  insurance  companies/captive.  
Review  insurance  carrier  reports  and  recommendations  to  assure  uniform  and  cost  effective  implementation.  
Develop  training  and  information  material  about  risks  and  appropriate  counteractions  for  concerned.  
Ensure  that  risk  related  investigations  within  RM  area,  are  performed  and  give  feed  back  of  incidents.  
Represent  the  Company  on  advisory  committees  of  legislative  bodies  and  organizations  in  area  of  RM.  
Develop  and  anchor  a  long  term  strategy  plan  for  RM  within  VCO  in  line  with  the  overall  VCC  strategy.  
Define  and  develop  the  RM  business  plan  and  related  activities,  budget  and  resource  planning.  

4.  Responsibility

Manage  and  lead  RM  work  within  VCO  
Communicate  RM  within  VCO  
Report  status  of  RM  within  VCO  
  
5.  Authority

Decides  risk  management  strategies  to  reach  VCO  established  objectives  and  targets  
Represent  and  speaks  on  behalf  of  VCO  in  matters  relating  to  risk  management  
  
6.  Competence  Requirements

The  risk  manager  shall  have  great  knowledge  of  VCC  including  risks  and  stakeholders.

Broad  experience  within  RM  area  
Excellent  communication/presentation  skills  and  good  English
Business  acumen  
Process  management  
Applicable  university  degree  within  Risk  Management,  Fire  Protection  Engineering  or  Safety  Engineering
