Main  responsibilities:
The  Chassis  and  Active  Safety  department  is  responsible  for  developing  the  complete  delivery  of  Chassis  systems  as  well  as  Active  Safety  function  at  Volvo  Car  China  Corporation.  The  main  responsibilities  are:
1.As  a  brake  system  engineer,  you  will  closely  work  together  with  Volvo  headquarter  expertise  and  design  brake  system  as  part  of  a  development  team  from  concept  to  final  production.  
2.You  will  act  as  the  design  &  release  (D&R)  engineer  for  brake  system  to  consolidate  the  design  and  verification  plan  (both  component  level  &  vehicle  level),  and  sign  off  for  engineering  approval.
3.You  will  also  get  involved  in  local  supplier's  evaluation  and  choice,  make  sure  to  deliver  technical  requirements  to  suppliers,  prepare  and  sign  off  technical  agreements.
4.You  will  contribute  to  a  cross  functional  team  consisting  of  internal  and  external  (suppliers)  competences,  so  as  to  achieve  program  deliverables  for  all  program  milestones,  with  timing,  quality  and  cost  target  in  controlled.  
  
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's  degree  or  above  in  Automotive  Engineering  or  Mechanical  Engineering.
2.Minimum  2  years  of  automotive  experience  on  brake  system  design,  good  understanding  about  brake  system  principles  and  attributes.
3.Experience  of  engineering  of  brake  components  such  as  foundation  brake,  brake  modulation,  actuation,  brake  hoses/pipes,  pedal  system.    
4.Good  knowledge  of  engineering  techniques  associated  with  system  development,  including  vehicle  development  process,  DVP&R,  FMEA,  GD&T,  8D,  6-sigma  and  etc.
5.Thorough  knowledge  of  CAD/CAE  tools  utilized  in  automotive  engineering  such  as  CATIA  V5,  TeamCenter  and  Adams.
6.Excellent  analytical,  problem  solving,  manufacturing  and  engineering  skills,  capable  of  solving  engineering  issues  independently.
7.Fluent  in  speaking,  presentation  and  written  communication  skills  in  English.
8.Skills  in  computer  programs  such  as  Word,  Excel  and  PowerPoint.
