Summary  
Managing  leadership  of  the  Quality  and  Cost  Reduction  unit  in  the  China  Operations  R&D  organization.  Major  deliveries  include:  
.  All  activities  related  current  model  quality  and  forward  model  quality  in  China.  The  current  model  quality  includes  quality  issues  of  both  local  production  vehicles  and  imported  vehicles.  
.  Ensure  the  current  model  and  forward  model  quality  system  in  placed,  and  responsible  for  training  programs  for  quality  tools.  
.  All  engineering  activities  for  cost  reduction  programs.  
Reporting  Structure  
Director,  Quality  and  Cost  Reduction,  R&D  China  reports  directly  (solid  line)  to  Vice  President,  R&D  China  
All  Quality  and  Cost  Reduction  employees  report  directly  (solid  line)  into  Director,  Quality  and  Cost  Reduction.  

Responsibilities  
.  Operational  responsible  for  R&D  Quality  and  Cost  Reduction  unit.  
.  Manage  the  strategic  work  (including  policy  deployment)  for  Quality  within  R&D  China  in  order  to  fulfill  the  VCC  Quality  Targets.  
.  Continuous  improve,  implement  and  communicate  the  Failure  Mode  Avoidance  /  
Quality  Strategy  within  R&D  China.  
.  Lead  PVT  team  for  current  model  quality  problem  solving.  Represent  R&D  China  for  quarterly  VQR.  
.  Ensure  a  learning  and  continuous  improvement  culture  for  Quality  within  R&D  China,  for  example  by  focusing  the  lesson  learned  and  quality  history  processes.  
.  Deploy  quality  resources  and  tools  to  systematically  enhance  Customer  Satisfaction.  
.  Responsible  for  R&D  China  Audit  operations.  
.  Responsible  for  the  6  sigma  (DMAIC/DCOV)  operations  within  R&D  China.  
.  Leading  Quality  Directors  Forum  (QDF)  within  R&D  China.  ?  
.  Coordinate  and  continuously  improve  R&D  China  Quality  Meeting  (PDQM).  ?  
.  Responsible  for  the  execution  of  CDJ,  M1DJ,  FDJ  
.  Internal  audits  and  BPA.  
.  Development  and  coordination  of  R&D  management  system  (BMS).  
.  Managing  all  engineering  activities  on  TVM.  
.  Co-lead  with  purchasing  organization  to  define  the  TVM  target,  roadmap  development,  and  ensure  the  success  execution  of  actions.  
.  Co-lead  with  purchasing  organization  for  CBP  process  execution  within  R&D  China.  
Competence  Requirements  
.  Technical  academical  education.  
.  Extensive  R&D  experience  from  Engineering  areas  as  well  as  Vehicle  Lines.  
.  Extensive  experience  in  automotive  quality  management  including  both  current  model  and  forward  model  quality  management,  minimum  8  -  10  years.  
.  Extensive  experience  in  TVM  /  cost  control  management,  minimum  5  -  8  years.  
.  Extensive  managerial  experience,  minimum  1-2  roles  as  Group  or  Section  Manager  
.  Preferably  cross  functional  experience.  
.  English  at  competence  level  3.  
.  VCC  Generic  competencies  at  competence  level  3.  
.  VCC  Leadership  competencies  at  competence  level  3.  

.  Personal  charactaristics  such  as:  
    1.  Good  Company  Ambassador.
