JOB  RESPONSIBILITIES:

·              Work  with  various  support  functions  as  required  to  complete  projects.

·              Participate  as  part  of  the  material  science  consultant  team  for  the  entire  business.

·              Participate  in  component  problem  analysis  and  resolution  when  requested.

·              Follow  test  spec  to  complete  test  requests  using  the  available  laboratory  test  equipment  and  ensure  that  tests  completing  within  a  timely  manner,  including  perfectly  organizing  test  reports.

·              Work  with  Materials  Lab  Technician  to  ensure  that  the  laboratory  equipment  is  kept  in  good  working  order  and  calibrated.

·              Calibrate  related  equipments,  pull  in  consumable  things  to  keep  lab  operational.

·              Identify  and  order  external  laboratory  tests  when  internal  capability  does  not  exist.

·              Identify  the  optimum  materials  for  specific  new  product  applications.

·              Identify  and  analyse  material  cost  saving  opportunities  in  current  or  pending  products.

·              Identify  and  recommend  significant  material  advancements  for  product  applications.

3.  BASIC  QUALIFICATIONS:

·              Bachelor  degree  in  material  science  or  organic  chemistry  from  four-year  university.

·              Must  have  a  minimum  of  3  years  of  related  experience  and  demonstrated  accomplishments  in  a  high  tech  manufacturing  environment.

·              Must  have  a  proven  track  record  of  successful  development  implementations.

·              A  thorough  understanding  of  Laboratory  environment  procedures

·              Basic  knowledge  of  organic  and  inorganic  materials  including  adhesives,  metal  coatings,  polymers,  plastic  injection  moulding,  insert  moulding,  adhesion  to  plastic  substrates  and  anodising  knowledge.  

·              Knowledge  of  Lab  procedures  and  use  of  Lab  equipment

Knowledge  of  handling  chemicals  and  materials



·              Knowledge  of  critical  and  statistical  data  analysis  and  good  working  understanding  of  Minitab

        

·              Ability  to  organise,  analyse  and  concisely  report  technical  data.

        

·              Fluent  English  comminucation.
