The  main  missions  of  the  role  are:
To  supply  all  documents  to  chosen  supplier,  required  to  give  full  reporting  details;62
To  support  tool  engineers  in  pre-study  reviews,  and  obtain  all  information  concerning  concept  of  tools;
To  support  tool  engineers  in  full  design  approval  procedures,  and  finalise  details  for  tooling  concepts;62
To  support  purchasing  to  give  full  release  approval  to  start  tool  manufacture;62
To  analyze  and  confirm  individual  detailed  timing  plans  given  by  supplier;
To  obtain  A4  “3D”  views  from  designer,  that  can  be  used  as  a  “check  list”  during  manufacture;62
To  identify  any  sub-contract  work,  planned  by  the  supplier;
To  highlight  “key  dates”  for  last  date  of  ordering  standard  components;
To  obtain  copies  of  quotations  and  orders  placed  for  all  standard  components,  and  steel  certificates;626262626262
To  monitor  progress  of  tool  manufacture,  and  compare  details  of  timing  plans  are  correct  against  information  given  by  supplier;62
To  supply  all  information  to  tool  buyer  and  D&D  process  tooling  engineer,  with  photographs,  of  current  status  (normally  every  two  weeks,  but  can  be  every  week,  depending  on  request);62
To  identify  as  early  as  possible,  any  delays,  and  if  required  introduce  a  recovery  plan  to  resolve  the  situation;
A  micro-plan  can  be  used  detailing  6  hours  intervals;62
To  be  the  main  point  of  contact  to  the  supplier,  to  avoid  “too  much  communication”  to  ensure  no  confusion  for  the  suppliers;62
To  attend  T0  trials  (internal)  alone,  and  complete  “Faurecia  Trail  Check  list”;
With  the  results  of  the  check  list,  create  a  PDCA;
Send  PDCA  to  tool  buyer  and  D&D  process  tool  engineer,  and  also  explain  to  supplier,  and  confirm  all  details;
To  plan  T1  trial,  with  corrections  done,  within  master  timing  plan,  and  ensure  no  EC  activity  is  introduced  during  T0  and  T1;62
To  inform  POC,  D&D  tooling  engineer,  and  tool  buyer  of  planned  T1  dates;62
To  attend  T1  and  do  “handover”  to  program  tooling  engineer;62
To  ensure  all  corrections,  and  issues  are  closed  in  the  PDCA  during  remaining  trials;62
To  support  tool  buyer  with  EC  negotiations,  and  control  all  EC  activity  up  to  T0,  and  update  timing  plans  when  required;62
To  support  commodity  with  reporting  performance  of  suppliers  per  project
Qualifications
The  ideal  candidate  will  have/be:
Minimum62education  level:  Bachelor  degree  in  engineering  with  a  specialisation  in  international  purchasing
Experience62:
Minimum  3  years  experience  as  a  tooling  engineer,  with  knolegment  in  foaming  toolings  and  foaming  process.
Overseas  experience  a  plus
Skills  and  competencies:
Results  orientation  with  strong  written  and  oral  communications  skills
Ability  to  work  in  a  matrixed  organisation
International  mind  set
Bi/multi-lingual  (English  required)
